Crystal

Crystal is a Care Worker at Helping Hand Lealholme in Port Pirie. She has been working there for just over four years.

Crystal has always wanted to be in aged care. After finishing Year 12 she went to TAFE and studied a Certificate III in Aged Care. “I love helping, I have a passion for it and can’t get enough of it.”

“I love the connection that I have with the residents, I really enjoy when they tell me their stories and show me all their pictures of what their life was like growing up.”

Crystal grew up in Port Pirie with her four brothers and two sisters. Growing up being one in seven was a crazy but great upbringing – cooking dinner was always a challenge! A childhood love of playing sport, especially netball, has been passed on to her two children, whom she now enjoys watching participate in the sport. “I love spending time with them, continuing family traditions.”
