The new development at Helping Hand Golden Grove, in the north east of Adelaide, is attracting great interest.
Some of the most common questions being asked about the new site are:
Q: Are you building a retirement village?
A: No, we are not building a retirement village. We are building a residential aged care home with 110 single rooms which will provide
- Respite services
- Transition Care Program (TCP) services for those leaving hospital and needing support before moving home
- Permanent residential care
- Dementia-specific services
Q: When can residents move in?
A: It is anticipated the building will be ready in April 2019 but as with all development projects – it is weather-dependent. We hope that residents can start moving in late April or early May 2019.
Q: Is there a wait list for residents?
A: We are keeping an Enquiry Register for people who have expressed interest in moving in to Helping Hand Golden Grove. Closer to the opening date, we will contact those on the Enquiry Register for a formal application. If you would like to be added to the Enquiry Register please call 1300 653 600.
Q: When will you be recruiting staff for Helping Hand Golden Grove?
A: More than 130 new staff will be employed at the new home including nurses, carers, lifestyle, allied health, administration and managers. Recruitment is anticipated to start around February 2019. All positions will be advertised on our website and all applications will be submitted through our website.
