Helping Hand supports IDAHOBIT 2021 – Helping Hand

Helping Hand supports IDAHOBIT 2021

Helping Hand celebrates and embraces the diversity of people who use our services and who are part of our workforce.  We stand alongside lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans/transgender, intersex, queer/questioning and asexual (LGBTIQA+) people in changing community attitudes and practises.

The 17th May is the the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia & Transphobia (IDAHOBIT 2021).

IDAHOBIT 2021 celebrates LGBTIQA+ communities around the world and strives to raise awareness for the work still needed to combat discrimination.  On this important day, Helping Hand reaffirms its commitment to:

  • respect individuals for who they are
  • be inclusive whether a person discloses or not
  • provide health and personal support based on the individual.
