Lightsview Hotel Services team award win – Helping Hand

Lightsview Hotel Services team award win

Recently Helping Hand’s Lightsview Hotel Services team won a very special award – the Institute of Hospitality in Healthcare 2022 Project of the Year Award.

The award celebrates the successful and ongoing project acknowledging the culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds of residents through themed food experiences. Residents are interviewed to establish which food they would like to see and an appropriate theme that will complement the choice of food.

Every month the Hotel Services team, in collaboration with the Lifestyles team, creates a special themed lunch where staff wear the clothes and serve the food of different countries. They play that country’s music and decorate the venue accordingly. These events even continued during the COVID-19 pandemic when there were visitor restrictions.

Congratulations to all involved, thank you for creating such enjoyable experiences for our residents.
