The Research and Development Unit supported the development of Helping Hand’s Strategic Plan for 2017 – 2020. The Strategic Plan for this period is flexible and responsive to the changing external environment. We have developed a unique process for engagement from internal and external stakeholders through our micro site.
Exercise Physiology in Aged Care
Starting in 2014 Helping Hand trialled a project called Exercise Physiology in Aged Care. This project gave Helping Hand the opportunity to see what impacts exercise would have on the older people who live in residential care, as well as how their families and staff perceived benefit. We were very fortunate in receiving funding to evaluate the program in partnership with UniSA. We would like to thanks Professor Gaynor Parfitt and Dr Dannielle Post for their support and excellent research in undertaking the evaluation. Please follow this link to download the report.
