If you would like more information on cultural diversity in aged care, please visit the Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing website. They are a Victorian based organisation that supports the needs of elderly people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

For more information about translation and interpreting services, visit TIS National, an interpreting service provided by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection for people who do not speak English and for agencies and businesses that need to communicate with their non-English speaking clients.

In Australia, limited awareness of dementia in people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds often results in delayed diagnosis, poorer prognosis, and a higher burden of care on families and health systems. Moving Pictures, an innovative multi-media project, aims to change this through the production of short films co-produced with people from CALD backgrounds. You can view the films here, and also view a series of brochures in different languages here.
