eCase Home Care

Latest update: 8 May 2025

We are continuing to test the new system to identify and fix any problems before it goes live on 1 July 2025.

This month we have started preparing training materials and sessions to help home care staff learn more about the new system, as we want the move to the new system to be as smooth as possible.

Support at Home Program

Latest update: 4 April 2025

Starting 1 July 2025, the Australian Government will replace the current Home Care Packages (HCP) model with the new Support at Home Program. The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) will remain unchanged at this time and will transition to Support at Home no earlier than 1 July 2027.

The new program aims to simplify access to a wider range of services for older people, enabling them to remain in their homes longer while maintaining health, activity, and community connection.

Please familiarise yourself with the fact sheet below to help support clients through this transition.

New Aged Care Act and Strengthened Standards

Latest update: 4 April 2025

From 1 July 2025, the new Aged Care Act and Strengthened Standards will come into effect.

These important changes put the rights and needs of older people at the centre of the aged care system – delivering better support for individuals, their families and carers.

To help our clients understand these changes, we have created a guide featured in our April At Home magazine. This covers the Statement of Rights, the seven Strengthened Standards, and how Support at Home will affect both existing and new clients.

Please refer this resource when discussing these changes with the people you support.
