Occupational Therapy (OT) helps older people stay safe and independent by making everyday tasks easier. An Occupational Therapist can suggest equipment, home modifications, routines and strategies to support showering, dressing, cooking, mobility, memory and falls prevention.

Next step: Ask Helping Hand whether OT support is available through your home care funding or privately.

An exercise physiologist can support goals such as reducing falls risk, recovering after illness, maintaining independence or returning to daily activities. Exercise physiology may be offered through group programs, home visits or allied health support, depending on your needs, location and funding pathway.
